The Headless Horseman
Ben was the goof-ball in Fable3, the “comic relief” because he had that swagger and problematic humor, and he comes across as some dumb guy but in reality he’s very smart.
Since he’s such a crack shot, he couldn’t have been anything other (even if you take into account that he might have some Heroic blood). But coming from such a poor family/village/area there would be more emphasis on manual labor rather than “book smarts” so he might have studied at night, reading anything he could get his hands on, after a long day grifting with his brothers (who might have teased him for being so smart so he made sure to never get caught with a book around them).
Then after all his brothers and parents were dead, and his stint of accidental piracy, Ben made his way to Brightwall where he met Samuel and in exchange for a job at the Academy got to read all he wanted to. But he also had to show off his smarts to Samuel because I don’t think the older man would just let anyone work at the Academy when it was still open.
Even when he was in the Swift Brigade, I don’t think Major Swift would just let anyone be his second in command (at least that’s what I’m assuming he was within the Brigade)-they have the smarts to think on their feet and be able to manage the men as well as supplies.
So while Ben might have acted otherwise, he was certainly smart when it counted.
I was so lonely before I found this website! I had no more friends to play with and that made me really sad! Luckily all of you are here to have fun with now! I can’t wait for all of the games we’re going to play together! My old friends didn’t like a lot of the games I would make them play, but they eventually stopped complaining. Actually, they stopped breathing altogether!
Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany. It’s not surprising that it’s magical fairy tale appearance is the reason it was one of the inspirations behind Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle.
